The biggest compliment is to have clients return for another beach portrait session. I worked with this beautiful family a couple of years ago when they were vacationing in Destin, FL. This time, they were staying along 30A and we shot at my favorite location: Grayton Beach State Park.
What I LOVE about this family is their laughter! They're always smiling and always joking. They're a truly happy family and it really does show!
What I love about this session is the colors they're wearing. How bright and cheery! No one is "Matchy-Matchy", everyone is unique, but they're all coordinating beautifully. All of these colors look so beautiful along our emerald waters and white sand.
30A is a collection of small, quirky, beautiful Florida beach towns nestled quietly between the much busier areas of Panama City and Destin along County Road 30A. Within this area, you’ll find the beach communities of Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Aly’s and Santa Rosa, to name a few.
30A is amazing in that you won’t find tourist traps, big hotels, massive condo units or really chains of any kind. Instead, you’ll find a much calmer approach to beach life with more families than college kids, local shops with cult-like followings and all the shrimp, grits and Emerald Coast views your tummy and soul could possibly want.
During the summer the forecast almost always calls for rain. We rarely ever cancel sessions because it usually just ends up working out! During this full session, we had bright sunshine and a storm in the distance. This gave us soft lighting, fluffy beautiful clouds, and even a rainbow!
Being a beach photographer is the best job ever! It is something I have worked very hard at learning and perfecting. Do your research when choosing a beach portrait photographer. Don't be shy, call him or her. Ask questions! Get a feel of their attitude and professionalism. The clients we serve are usually in the Santa Rosa Beach,30A, Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seaside, Inlet Beach, Destin, Seagrove Beach and Grayton Beach areas which means we serve a lot of vacationers. Your time is precious, so don't just hire any beach photographer for your portrait session. If I am booked we always refer our clients to other trusted local professional photographers.
